Dr. Jo Anne McFarland has been president of Central Wyoming College since 1989 but has been an employee of CWC since 1974. Dr. McFarland was the first female college president in Wyoming. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. As the Executive Vice President for Administrative Services,

 

 

 

 

 

Jay Nielson is the college's chief financial officer. He has been in this position since 1998. Nielson is in charge of Campus Life and Safety and the Physical Plant. He has an MBA from the University of Wyoming.

Jason Wood is the newest member of the Central admin team, joining the college in June of 2010 as the Vice President for Academic Services. He anticipates completing his doctorate later this year in Community College Leadership from Oregon State University, emphasizing on issues facing rural community colleges. He earned his Masters of Education from the University of Idaho and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.

 

Dr. Mohammed Waheed came to CWC in 1981 working his way up to Vice President for Student Services. Waheed is very involved in grant development and administration for CWC. His doctorate is in community college governance.

 
 
Central Wyoming College Strategic Plan
The college's Strategic Plan serves as the foundation for leadership and decision-making at the institution. It is the compass that guides daily decisions as well as the development of annual strategic priorities. These goals help CWC achieve its mission to educate and empower people for success in life, in higher education, in the workforce and the global economy.
