Construction Trades

Central Wyoming College offers a Construction Trades training program designed to train people to work in the construction industry. The program recruits primarily from the Fremont County area where the construction industry is a growth industry with long-term career opportunities. This program targets a small group of participants. It is a program designed to recruit and assess female applicants for aptitude, attitude, interest, and compatibility to work in the construction field.

Selection of the program participants will be determined by a cross-functional team consisting of the case manager, program administrator, employer liaisons, and lead construction instructor. Candidates for the program are reviewed initially by the program administrator and case manager for eligibility, program compatibility and initial family needs assessment. They are also screened by CWC for aptitude, interests and a basic skill leveling math which is required to be successful in the program.

The next program is scheduled to begin January 11, 2010.

Applications for this program are currently being accepted. Any additional questions regarding this or other programs offered by Workforce and Community Education should be directed to (307) 855-2043.
