To make academic and career choices, you need to consider your interests and abilities.
You probably have a strong sense of your academic strengths and weaknesses. Your interests, however, are still developing and, like more specific skills, depend on exposure to various activities and ideas.
The SSS staff can help you plan and explore career options through reading materials, job shadowing, computer-assisted career guidance programs, and standardized career instruments to help you learn about your interests, abilities, and values and to relate them to your academic and career choices.
The SSS staff will help you to explore your options and help you work through the decision-making process and find needed resources.
For more information contact the SSS Office to make a one-on-one career counseling appointment, or the SSS-TRiO Program Assistant. For appointments, call 855-2228 or 855-2227 or 800-735-8418, ext. 2227 or 2228.
