Options for roommate assignment include private living (Mote Hall and apartments), semi-private living (two-bedroom apartment only), or roommate living (Residence Hall and apartments). All Residence Hall assignments are double occupancy. Fill out your application request carefully and pay special attention to the backside of the application where you can provide crucial information to assist with roommate assignment. You can always choose your own roommate, but if you do not, and you request roommate living, one will be assigned to you based on the information you provide on your application.
Roommate assignment is a difficult process, so if your roommate does not work out, CWC will work with you to provide an alternate assignment. We only ask that you work hard at resolving any conflicts first before utilizing a roommate change request. Contact the Housing Manager for any information on roommate or room changes and the Housing Manager will work with you and your roommate to either resolve the situation or make the necessary changes.
Central Wyoming College has a variety of policies to address behavior which is contrary to the Housing community standards. Each student is informed of the entire policy structure when they are checked into Housing, but please note that CWC is a non-alcohol campus, regardless of age. Disciplinary action will be taken against any resident or guest who violates this or any other substance abuse policy. Also, while the complexes are co-ed, all room/apartment assignments are done single sex. No co-habitation is allowed unless married. Visitation is also somewhat controlled; requiring guests to register with the Housing Office and still requires no co-habitation. Contact a Resident Assistant for more information.
Quiet hours exist in all complexes. They are 10 p.m. to 10 a.m., Sunday through Thursday and Midnight to 10 a.m., Friday and Saturday. During these times it is expected that all noise will be kept at a minimum.
To comply with fire codes and to further enhance the safety of all residents, smoking and any open flame (including incense) are not allowed in ANY complex within Housing. Smoking is allowed outside facilities, but great care is encouraged to maintain the safety of the entire complex and proper disposal of cigarette ends is required.
