Lady Rustlers Add Two Conference Wins


In an exciting match versus Laramie County Community College, the Lady Rustlers, donned in pink to promote breast cancer awareness, added another win to their conference record with match scores of 27-25, 25-23, 20-25, and 25-10. Tavia Young and Kalynn Dahlke both added 16 kills while Shay Schwab and Jordan Leyba added 24 and 16 set assists, respectively. The Rustlers also combined for 76 digs in the match. Rustler fans filled the stands with pink to show their support as proceeds from the match were contributed to the Tough Enough Fund for Fremont County.
On Saturday, the Rustlers were back in action at 3:00 p.m. defeating Eastern Wyoming College with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, and 26-24. Coach Stauffenberg utilized most of her personnel in this match, building depth and experience in her team. Match leaders were Kalynn Dahlke with 14 Kills and 17 digs, Tavia Young and Vanessa Caballero with 10 and 9 digs respectively, and Shay Schwab with 17 set assists. 
The Lady Rustlers are now at 21 wins for the season. 
Next up for the Rustlers is a road trip to Western Wyoming Community College on October 21st p.m.

Lady Rustlers Lose Conference Match with Casper College

(Casper, Wyo.) Central Wyoming College brought a supportive Rustler Riot Club student section to the volleyball match at T-Bird gym Tuesday evening, but fell short of a victory, losing to Casper College in three sets with close scores of 20-25, 19-25, and 23-25. Libero McKensie Herold was a match leader in digs with 23 while Tavia Young added 9. Kalynn Dahlke led the Rustlers with 7 kills followed by Kiara Skinner with 6.
Next the Rustlers will enjoy a stretch of home games with upcoming conference matches versus Western Wyoming Community College on October 11th at 3:00p.m., Laramie County Community College on October 17th at 7:00p.m., and Eastern Wyoming College on October 18th at 3:00 p.m.

CWC Rustlers Add Two Conference Wins to Their Record


(Cheyenne, Wyo.) The CWC volleyball team hit the road Friday, traveling to Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington. The Rustlers beat EWC in three straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-20. Freshman Shay Schwab added 19 assists while Kalynn Dahlke had 13 kills.
On Saturday, the Rustlers topped the LCCC Golden Eagles in five sets, with scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 22-25, and 15-11. Sophomore Kiara Skinner added 15 kills in the match, McKensie Herold 32 digs, and Shay Schwab 19 set assists. Jordan Leyba from Thermopolis was also a key factor adding 15 assists. The two wins bring the Rustlers to an overall 19-5 record for the season.
Next up will be Casper College on October 7 followed by three consecutive home games at Rustler gym.

Lady Rustlers Log Their First Conference Win in Front of a Packed House at CWC.

(Riverton, Wyo.) The Lady Rustlers volleyball team continued their winning ways in an exciting 5 set match vs. Sheridan College Thursday evening . The Rustlers came out strong against Sheridan winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-15. Sheridan fought their way back to win the next two sets 20-25 and 18-25. In the fifth set the Rustlers took an early lead, polishing off the win with a final score of 15-7, responding to a full house of Rustler fans honoring area high school students.
The Rustlers return to their home court Saturday September 27th at 3:00pm to take on conference opponent Northwest College.

(Torrington, Wyo.) In their new Rustler uniforms, Central Wyoming College continued their winning ways defeating four opponents in the WYO-Braska Volleyball Classic this weekend.
In match one, CWC fought hard to defeat Northeastern Junior College with scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-8. "We were tied at 7-7 in the fifth game and then won 15-8. It was a great victory!" said Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg. 
The team followed with victories over US Air Force Prep in three straight sets of 25-8, 25-18, 25-21; Barton Community College 25-14, 19-25, 28-26, 21-25, 15-13 in five exciting sets; and Seward Community College with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-20. This brings the Rustlers' overall record to 16-4 for the season, great timing to appear before their first home crowd this Thursday night September. "We are excited and ready to play at home!! We are also hosting the area high school students for Sept. 25th our first home game – they will get free admission to the game and we will give away some signed shirts from the team. We really hope everyone will come out and support the team – they are playing great!" said Coach Stauffenberg. 
The Rustlers will play Sheridan College at 7:00pm Thursday evening.
