5. Students applying for this scholarship must write a personal statement consisting of no more than 500 words, as part of the application process.  The statement should describe the student's background, professional aspirations, life's goals, and how this scholarship would help in achieving individual and financial independence.

1. Student must declare a major in Communication
2. Student may be either full or part-time

Renewal Requirements:

1. Students must maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average. 
2. Students must earn a minimum of a 3.0 (B) in all courses Specifically Emphasized for Communication majors. These courses may be found in the Central Wyoming College Catalog located within the Radio/TV/Film/Communication Program 
3. Students are required to earn a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester for full -time awards 
4. Students are required to earn a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester for part-time awards
