Central Wyoming College offers academic advising for all students. Advisors assist in selecting classes based on academic background, test scores, and educational goals. Advisors provide students with accurate and up-to-date academic information before and during registration by suggesting appropriate courses to meet academic goals as well as requirements for two-year degrees and/or transferring to a four-year institution. Initially CWC students meet with a general academic advisor and then are assigned to a full-time faculty/staff member advisor based upon the academic area the student has selected. While the ultimate responsibility for decision-making and educational plans rests with the student, academic advisors can be a valuable resource. Academic advisors assist students with:
The general academic advisors are located in the Dobler Center in the Administration Wing, and office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are encouraged. Be sure to look up our information pages for new student orientation and online registration. |
