Riverton, WY – Before a home crowd, the Central Wyoming College women’s volleyball team continued their success on the court, defeating the Lady Generals of Sheridan College in three games tonight, 25–18, 25–13 and 25–23.

With the victory the Lady Rustlers record now improves to 15–4 overall and 4–0 and first place in the conference. A crowd of 573 saw the Lady Rustlers win their first game at home tonight.

Para, Brazil freshman Flavia Araujo led the Lady Rustlers in kills tonight with 13 and three aces. Gillette freshman Jess Foy had eight digs and Pernambuco, Brazil sophomore Ana Tenorio led the team in blocks with four. Syracuse, UT freshman Danielle Parker recorded 17 assists and Evanston sophomore Abigail Ehlers contributed eight assists.

“What a great atmosphere it was tonight. The students came out in full force and we fed off their excitement. It’s sure nice to be at home. I thought we did a good job of establishing our game plan at the start of the match. We were able to make adjustments and the ladies did a great job coming through," Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg said.

CWC travels to Casper Thursday, Sept. 27 for a 7 p.m. game. The Lady Thunderbirds are one game behind the Rustlers.
