Road game not kind to Rustlers
Billings, MT – The Central Wyoming College Women’s Volleyball team went on the road tonight and lost to NAIA power Rocky Mountain College. The match went only three games with the Lady Rustlers losing 21–25, 21–25, and 19–25. With the loss CWC’s record is now 12–6 on the year but still 3–0 and first place in conference play.
Brazilian freshman Ana Tenorio led the Lady Rustlers with 12 kills. Rock Springs native, sophomore Courtney Patterson had five blocks and Rawlins native Kelli Mann lead the team with 25 assists.
“Tonight was a lack of focus and effort. We dug ourselves too deep of a hole and we were not able to climb out. We need to shake this one off and get ready for Dawson,” Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg stated.
The Lady Rustlers continue their road trip with games Friday and Saturday at Dawson Community College. Both games will count in the conference standings.
