Rustlers drop two close games at Salt Lake Tournament

Salt Lake City, UT - The Central Wyoming College Women’s Volleyball started the season 3 – 0 last week in the Sheridan College Tournament.  The Salt Lake Community College Tournament did not start out too kindly for the Lady Rustlers.

CWC lost their first match of the season to the nationally fifth ranked Lady Eagles from the College of Southern Idaho.  Game one ended in a battle of 21-25.  Game two was an up and down game that was won by CSI by the score of 23-25 and game three ended in a CSI sweep of 12 – 25.

Match two of the tournament featured the Lady Rustlers vs. Nationally 11th Ranked the Lady Matadors of Arizona Western College from Yuma, AZ.  CWC went down again in three close games.  Game one was back and forth with the Arizona Western winning 22 – 25.  Central Wyoming battled well in the other two games but lost both by scores of 21 – 25 and 20 – 25.

In the first match of the day, the Lady Rustlers may have lost more than the game.  Sophomore and team leader Jaci Egley, Fort Bridger,  landed wrong and injured her knee.
