Powell, WY – The Central Wyoming College Women’s volleyball team lost a five game match to Northwest College, 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 15-25 and 13-15. With the loss the Lady Rustlers end the regular season with a record of 21 – 10 and sole possession of second place in the conference with a record of 10-4.
Mountain View sophomore Jaci Egley played her last regular season game leading the team with 24 digs. Also playing her last regular season game was Rawlins sophomore Kelli Mann, leading the team once again in assists with 32. Syracuse, UT freshman Kaitlyn Tracy, Brazilian sophomore Leticia Guimaraes and Brazilian freshman Ana Tenorio lead the Lady Rustlers with 11 kills each.
“We started out really well and just were not able to finish the game off. Statistically we were pretty good, but stats don’t win games. Now it is time to get ready for the conference tournament,” said Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg.
CWC will prepare to take on Region IX Tournament Host Sheridan College next week. The Lady Rustlers defeated the Lady Generals on October 13. The match went four games. All Region IX tournament games can be seen online through a link provided by the Sheridan College website. |
