Rustlers stay perfect at home

Riverton, WY (October 13) – The Central Wyoming College women’s volleyball team added another home win to its record Thursday. They defeated the Lady Generals of Sheridan College in four games: 25–15, 25–17, 30–28, and 25-18.

The Lady Rustlers got tremendous play out of their two Brazilian players.  Leticia Guimaraes sent home some thunderous spikes for kills, while Ana Tenorio used her 6’5" frame to dominate the net.  Kelli Mann (Rawlins) led the team again with assists, while Courtney Patterson (Rock Springs) had tremendous play around the net.

“Leticia really brought us back tonight in game four.  We kind of had a letdown tonight after losing that hard fought game three, but the ladies pulled through and this should give us some momentum to build on for next week,”  said Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg.

With the win, CWC now moves to 20 8 on the year and 9–2 in conference.  This now sets up a showdown with Casper College Tuesday night, Oct. 18.  Winner will have sole possession of second place in the conference.  Game time is 7 p.m.  Officials expect a packed house, and encourage spectators to arrive early to get a good seat.
