Lady Rustlers continue road wins at EWC


Torrington, WY (Saturday, Oct. 8) – Central Wyoming College Women’s Volleyball defeated the Lady Lancers of Eastern Wyoming College in three games. With the win the Lady Rustlers are now 18 – 8 on the year and 7 – 2 in conference play. Scores from today’s match were 25 – 22, 25 – 17 and 25 – 18.


The Lady Rustlers got big contributions from Rock Springs native Courtney Patterson and Syracuse, UT native Kaitlyn Tracy, who both had 10 kills. Billings athlete Andrea Molen had nine digs and  Ana Tenorio of Brazil had seven blocks.

 

“What a great road trip this was. We were able to get two quality conference wins. Both matches were hard fought. The ladies did a great job in practice this week and they implemented the game plans to perfection,” Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg said.

 

CWC returns to Riverton for a home game, Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. vs. Northwest College. The CWC Alumni will be handing out bandanas before the game and alumni information. Between games two and three there will be prizes given out also. Tickets for the contest are $3 for adults and $2 for students. CWC Athletic Booster Club members get in free and admittance into the McDonalds Booster Room.
