Lady Rustlers back on winning track vs. LCCC

Cheyenne, WY (Friday, Oct. 7) – The Central Wyoming College women’s volleyball team defeated the Lady Golden Eagles of Laramie County Community College in four games to win their sixth conference match. Scores from the hard fought match were 25 – 22, 22 – 25, 25 – 20, and 26 – 24.

CWC was once again led by their All-American candidate, Brazilian sophomore Leticia Guimaraes with 16 kills. Kelli Mann led with 35 assists and 12 digs. Brazilian freshman Ana Tenorio had eight blocks.

“Tonight was a good road win for us. The Ladies put what we did in practice this week to work in the game. Our passing was much better. Now hopefully we can do it again tomorrow,” Coach Tiffany Stauffenberg said.

The Lady Rustlers travel to Torrington to take on Eastern Wyoming College, Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. CWC looks to improve on their 17 – 8 record and 6 – 2 in conference play. The Lady Lancers look to avenge their five game match loss to the Lady Rustlers that took place earlier this season in Riverton.
