Campaign Underway as Volleyball Begins Practice

CWC prepares for season opener in Sheridan College Tournament

Riverton, Wy – The Central Wyoming College Volleyball team started their first full day of preseason practice Monday morning in the Rustler Gymnasium as the 2011 campaign officially got underway.

With six newcomers the primary focus this preseason will be integrating the new talent into the fast pace realm of NJCAA volleyball.  The team will practice in two sessions, morning and afternoon.  The morning practices focus on conditioning as a unit while the afternoon the team focuses on team and positional drills.

“We are excited to get going this season.  My new assistant Tiffany Linck and I are looking forward to getting them into shape and a comfortable understanding of our system,” said coach Tiffany Stauffenberg.

Along with the influx of freshmen to this year’s roster, the team returns seven sophomores, including  All Conference returner Courtney Patterson, a Rock Springs native.

CWC will continue their preseason camp over the next 13 days before opening season play Friday August 26 at 1:00 pm vs. Dakota Wesleyan in the Sheridan College Tournament
