Rustlers post loss on the road

 

Rock Springs, WY (January 7) - The CWC women’s basketball team was defeated on the road tonight at Western Wyoming Community College 82-47.  With the loss, the Lady Rustlers drop to 7-6 on the year and 0–3 in conference.

 

Australian sophomore Jacki Nicholson led the Lady Rustlers with 13 points.  While Rock Springs native Porsha Wadsworth had nine points and five rebounds playing in her hometown, sophomore Courtney Patterson had seven points and four rebounds in her hometown as well.  Preston, ID freshman Elsie Keller led the Lady Rustlers in rebounding with six.

 

“Tonight was one of those nights. We just were not able to get much going. They got hot and we were unable to catch up to them tonight,"  Coach Serol Stauffenberg said.
