Lady Rustlers pick up second win at Bailey tournament

 
Riverton, WY (Nov. 12) – The Central Wyoming College women’s basketball team defeated Stone Child College 90 to 35 for their second win of the season and a second win of the Bailey Tire Tip Off Classic. With the win CWC’s record is now 2 – 0 on the season.
 
Rock Springs, Wyo., sophomore Courtney Patterson led the Lady Rustlers with 25 points. Elise Keller of Preston, Idaho had 12 and Brynn Foster a sophomore from Nibley, Utah had 10. The Lady Rustlers also out rebounded Stone Child 55 to 34. Leading the way was freshman Kaylee Walker of Perry, Utah with nine.
 
“Tonight was a good night; in fact the whole Bailey Tire Tip Off was good for us,” said Coach Serol Stauffenberg.  “We were able to come out and execute and get things accomplished.  The ladies played hard all weekend and showed that if they will keep working hard we have a good chance of being a good team.” 
 
Next weekend, the Lady Rustlers take part in the Electrical Dynamics Classic, with an opening round game against the University of Nebraska –College of Technical Agricultural, otherwise none as Nebraska Tech. They are a four-year university that plays at the NAIA and United State Collegiate Athletic Association. This is not a junior varsity team. This will be the first time a university comes to Riverton, to play Central Wyoming College. Tip Off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. for Friday, Nov. 18.
