Central loses close conference game


Riverton, WY (February 11) – The Central Wyoming College women’s basketball team lost a close hard fought game against the Lady Generals of Sheridan College, 68-65. With the loss the Lady Rustlers record now stands at 11–12 overall and 4–8 on the year.


The Lady Rustlers were led again by Sydney, Australia sophomore Jacki Nicholson with 25 points on 8 of 13 shooting.  Rock Springs sophomore Courtney Patterson had 19 points. Preston, ID freshman Elise Keller led the Lady Rustlers with eight rebounds.


“I proud of the effort the Ladies gave tonight. We just could not pull it out in the end. We gave ourselves a chance to win but we were not able to capitalize on their mistakes at the end and put the game away in our favor," Coach Serol Stauffenberg said.
