Lady Rustlers play tough but fall to Lady Lancers


Riverton, WY (January 26) – The Central Wyoming College Women’s Basketball Team lost to Eastern Wyoming College in a non-conference match up to Eastern Wyoming College, 61-60. With the loss the Lady Rustlers record drops to 8 and 10 on the year.


Brynlie Nielsen, a sophomore from Spanish Fork, UT led the Rustlers with 23 points.  Nibley, UT sophomore Brynn Foster had double figures tonight as well with 10 points.  Rock Springs sophomore Courtney Patterson snagged nine rebounds.


“Tonight the ladies played hard we just were not able to pull off the victory.  I thought when we took the lead with 12 seconds to play; I really thought we would be able to hold on for the victory.  Unfortunately it was not to be.  The ladies will be ready to play on Saturday,”  Coach Serol Stauffenberg said.


The Lady Rustlers host Little Big Horn College Saturday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m.  The game can be seen live on Channel 5 locally and over the internet at  Then click on “watch basketball online”.  The game can also be heard live on FM 88.1.
