Home Opener vs. Impact Academy


Riverton, WY-Nov. 1 The Central Wyoming College men’s basketball team tipped off the season with a 77-61 win at home over Impact Academy from Las Vegas, Nevada. The Rustlers jumped out to an early 25-7 lead and never looked back. Impact Academy made a run to end the first half bringing its deficit to 8 points at halftime.  Tanner Newbold was the scoring leader for the Rustlers with 19 points that came from 6 of 7 shooting that included 4 of 5 three pointers. The Rustlers also received help in their front court from Ryan Thomas with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The Rustlers return to action on Monday November 5, playing Colorado Northeastern Community College at Utah Valley University in Orem.
