CWC Gear Up Scholarship

Amount:
Gold is $2,568; Silver is $1,896; Bronze is $500

Requirements for initial consideration and renewal:

CWC GEAR UP Gold     GPA = 3.5 or ACT = 25

CWC GEAR UP Silver    GPA = 3.0 or ACT = 21

CWC GEAR UP Bronze  GPA = 2.75

Scholarship recipients must be recommended by on of the CWC GEAR UP directors.

1. GEAR UP student must have shown significant participation in the GEAR UP program from the date of entry into the program through their senior year.
2. GEAR UP student must have met with Gear Up staff to complete senior year college preparation requirements.
3. GEAR UP students who are not participants of the CWC GEAR UP Wyoming or CWC  GEAR UP programs must be recommended by their program director for the scholarship. Recommendations must be in writing to the Directors of the CWC GEAR UP Wyoming or CWC GEAR UP. Recommendations must demonstrate the above criteria and can be sent:

Please submit a six or seven semester high school transcript with cumulative GPA by May 1 to Kathryn DeWitt, Scholarship and Admissions Technician, CWC Financial Aid Office, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton, WY 82501

Renewal Requirements:

This is a two year award if student earns a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester and:

• Gold: minimum 3.0 GPA earned each semester
• Silver: minimum 2.5 GPA earned each semester
• Bronze: minimum 2.5 GPA earned each semester

CWC Honors Scholarship

Amount:
$2,568 with no Hathaway eligibility; $2,000 with Hathaway eligibility

1. Must complete an on-line Admissions Application and submit a six or seven semester high school transcript with cumulative GPA  by May 1st.
2. Must be a full-time student
3. Awarded to every current year high school graduate with a minimum cumulative 3.5 high school GPA or minimum ACT score of 25
4. Two year award if student maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA each semester with at least 12 credit hours earned each semester

1. Must complete an on-line Scholarship Application 
2. Native American student with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to student from local tribes.

3. Complete an on-line Scholarship Application

Equine Studies

Requirements for initial consideration and renewal:

1. Majoring in Equine Studies at CWC
2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
3. Full-time student enrollment status

Scholarship recipients shall be selected by the Equine Studies Scholarship Committee in coordination with the Central Wyoming College Office of Student Financial Aid. The annual scholarship award(s) will be disbursed one-half for Fall semester and one-half for Spring semester to one or more students enrolled at Central Wyoming College. The number of scholarships and the amount of the award is variable and will be determined annually.
