Facilities Maintenance Technology
As a facilities maintenance technician, you will be troubleshooting and repairing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating - ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. In addition you will be making interior and exterior building repairs and at times may be working on small construction projects. At some job sites you may also be responsible for maintaining the grounds and grounds equipment.
CWC's facilities maintenance technology program is set up to accommodate those students looking for a rewarding career track, current employees needing up-grade training in a specific area of study or employers wanting to set up company specific or Department of Labor apprenticeships for their employees.
Students may earn a credential, certificate or associate of applied science in facilities maintenance technology. The program allows students great flexibility to customize their training and specialize in specific areas of interest. This self-paced/on-line hybrid program allows students to complete much of the course work from home or work and then attend the CWC's Sinks Canyon Center to complete the hands-on lab portions of the course. Some of the more complex and challenging courses may also be offered in a workshop format. Gainful Employment
