Lander boutique proceeds go to nursing endowment

A Lander clothing boutique raised $2,680 for a Central Wyoming College nursing scholarship endowment, which is being matched dollar for dollar by the state.

Susan Meeker, (pictured at left with Foundation member Pat Skelton) owner of “In My Window,” donated 10 percent of the proceeds from a four-day trunk show of the popular jewelry line Trollbeads to the scholarship endowment. Meeker upped the donation to $2,000. The bead manufacturer donated seven unique Trollbeads for a silent auction which raised an additional $680.

The show included a demonstration by one of Trollbeads’ glass artisans. “What a fun time we had helping out those nurses and satisfying those jewelry urges we all have,” said CWC Foundation Manager Lynette Jeffres in a congratulatory email to Meeker.
