Tech, Hinman are All-Americans

Two Central Wyoming College rodeo athletes are 2012 Academic All-Americans.

Lacey Tech, who won the national goat tying championship at this year’s College National Finals Rodeo, and Traci Hinman, who has been selected as CWC’s assistant rodeo coach, were named to the Academic All-American team by the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

The honor is bestowed on NIRA members who earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and qualified for the CNFR. This year, more than 50 contestants received the honor. Hinman graduated with high honors at the conclusion of the 2012 academic year.

CWC’s women’s team placed second overall at the CNFR.
