CWC professor honored as Master Distance educator

    Central Wyoming College Criminal Justice Professor Mike Manning was honored at the May 24-26 Wyoming Distance Education Conference as one of eight Master Distance Educators.
    Manning has extended the CWC criminal justice program by modifying core courses to include online instruction as well as delivery of campus courses to distance sites via the CWC Interactive Classroom Network. He is also working toward offering the full criminal justice program to students in Jackson utilizing a variety of distance delivery methods to accomplish his goal.
    Manning was also an instrumental member of a committee selecting a new learning management system at CWC and was recognized as one of a handful of “experts” in the distance learning module. He provided informal and formal instruction to fellow faculty in conjunction with the CWC’s Information Technology department.
    Manning, six faculty from Wyoming’s other community colleges and a University of Wyoming professor were honored were honored at a banquet held at the Historic Sheridan Inn.
