Culinary Arts

The CWC Culinary Arts program in Jackson provides students with state-of-the-art kitchens and bake shops located in the five-diamond Four Seasons Resort at Teton Village. Lecture halls and computer labs are located in the new Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson. Other resorts in the area also participate.

CWC's Jackson Campus also has a Hotel/Restaurant Management program


Teaching the program in Jackson are high-powered individuals in the hotel and restaurant industry:, Chef Dan Davis, CEE, executive chef and the president of the American Culinary Federation, Four Seasons-Teton Village Executive Chef Simon Purvis, executive chef Wes Hamilton of The Couloir, Granary Executive Chef Jason Mitchell, CIA graduate and Michael Dart, head of Teton County's Health Department. 
  • The two-year program is designed to prepare students to develop basic and advanced culinary arts skills attainable from the techniques of classical cuisine and to develop practical skills in hospitality management, marketing, and food and beverage management that are essential for a successful career in the culinary arts industry. CWC also has a one-semester credential and a one-year certificate program in culinary arts.
  • CWC is also associated with The Couloir, a restaurant located 3,000 feet up the mountain from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort; and the green-built Hotel Terra; both of which have been included in the Hot Lists in both Conde Nast's Traveler's and American Express' Food and Wine magazines. The Couloir's executive chef Wes Hamilton has taught a fish and seafood course to CWC culinary students; and Terra's hotel vice president is serving on CWC's culinary arts and hotel/restaurant programs advisorty committee.
  • The Associate of Applied Science degree in culinary Arts is designed to prepare students for entry to mid-level food services management positions in the restaurant, hotel and hospitality industry
  • CWC has articulation agreements with the University of Houston, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and Johnson & Wales University. These agreements allow CWC culinary students to transfer credits toward bachelor degrees.
