Prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher prior to entering the program in the first semester. Students accepted to the program who are enrolled in prerequisite courses in the spring semester during the admission screening process will be conditionally admitted and must demonstrate successful completion prior to the fall semester of the current admission cycle. Prerequisites can be taken at CWC or any regionally accredited college or university and include:
- Anatomy and Physiology with labs (8 credits total)
- English I (3 credits)
Additionally, students who are admitted to the Nursing Program must have active Wyoming certification as a nursing assistant (CNA). It is not necessary to have certification at the time of application to the program; however, certification must be obtained prior to entering the program in the fall semester. Students without nursing assistant certification during the admission screening process will be conditionally admitted and will have the opportunity to obtain certification the summer prior to entering in the fall semester.
