Associate of Science Degree

 

If you’re interested in a solid base in agri-business or agriculture/range management, and plan to transfer to a four-year institution, CWC has the programs for you.  Upon completion of the agri-business program at CWC, students may choose areas of specialization at four-year institutions in agri-business, farm and ranch management, or international agricultural economics.

 

In the general elective area, students may choose to take additional general education courses required at a four-year institution, (i.e. computer application courses such as spreadsheets, math, science, business courses, etc.).  The majority, if not all, of the agriculture/range management courses will be taken at a four-year institution.

Agriculture/Range Management

Associate of Science Degree

 

Central Wyoming College offers a transfer degree in Agriculture/Range Management at a four-year institution. This degree is designed to meet the basic general education requirements for an Agriculture/Range Management degree and the core prerequisites required in an Agri-culture/Range Management four-year degree.

Farm and Ranch Resource Management

 

Associate of Applied Science, Certificate and Credential

 

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Farm and Ranch Resource Management is designed to prepare students for farm and ranch management skills and integrate these skills into the day-to-day farming and ranching practices.
 
The general education requirements are designed to encourage students to develop critical and creative thinking, computation, communication skills and basic technology skills utilized in the farm and ranch industry.
 
The program is designed to prepare students to develop basic analytical skills for livestock production, livestock nutritional requirements, grazing and forage management, crop rotation, strategic planning, analyzing financial feasibility, cash flow, marketing, and human resource management strategies that are essential to manage or operate a farm or ranch business.
 
The Farm and Ranch Resource Management Certificate is designed to provide students basic farm and ranch management skills.
 
The general education requirements are designed to encourage students to develop computation and communication skills utilized in the farm and ranch industry.
   
The certificate is designed to prepare students to develop basic analytical skills for livestock production, livestock nutritional requirements, grazing and forage management, crop rotation, strategic planning, and analyzing financial feasibility.
