Central Wyoming College and Fremont County high schools have developed exciting dual credit opportunities for motivated Fremont County students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously.
There are many benefits associated with dual enrollment. It allows high school students to progress to their next academic challenge without having to wait until high school graduation. It eases the transition to college by giving students firsthand exposure to the rigors of college-level work.
Dual enrollment also provides a wider range of course options for high school students and enhances their general academic preparedness. These challenges motivate students to take their studies more seriously.
The CWC Board of Cooperative Higher Educational Services (BOCHES ) will pay the ACT fee for every junior and senior in Fremont County one time. Click for test dates. Most importantly, the program enables students to earn free college credits, shortening their time to degree completion and providing significant savings on the cost of higher education. It also eliminates the need to complete comparable courses at both educational levels.
The program, too, offers college-level vocational courses that enhance employment opportunities.

Requirements
- Student must be 15 years of age; younger students may be admitted upon petition to the office of the Vice President for Academic Services,
- Submit a CWC application online: Click apply online.
- Submit English and Math placement scores using COMPASS, ACT or SAT if enrolling in a math, English, certain chemistry/physics courses, and/or other courses requiring this type of placement score,
- Satisfactory completion of course prerequisites, if applicable.

How do I get started?
Apply to CWC – It's very important to apply online to Central Wyoming College at least 48 hours in advance of registration
- Take the Compass test if required for the course(s). Many courses require a minimum score to be eligible to enroll.
- Register for classes – application and registration can be done online from any computer with internet access, even from home. There may also be registration day(s) held in your high school– check with your guidance counselor, or call the BOCHES office at 855-2039 or toll free 800-735-8418, ext. 2039. Students may also register at CWC main campus or outreach centers located in these communities:
