TRIO Student Support Services has a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Therapist who are sensitive to the many issues affecting college students today.
Such issues include, but are not limited to, home sickness, relationship difficulties, adjustment problems, family issues, emotional stress, addictions, depression and anxiety.
More severe problems requiring long-term treatment will be referred to community resources.
The TRIO Student Support Services counselors can also assist students with completing their financial aid forms and scholarship search information.
Resources are also available for examining goals, interests, and values as they relate to the choice of a career.
The Choices computerized guidance program is also available to assist students in making career decisions, getting current occupational information and doing college searches.
Assistance is provided for preparation of class schedules, and transfers to another college or university.
