Distance education and lifelong learning are important and integral parts of the Central Wyoming College concept of “community college.” Central Wyoming College is committed to providing quality distance education to site-bound students. Distance education credit courses are the same courses offered for college credit on the CWC campus. Distance education credit courses may be provided via traditional classroom instruction, interactive network classroom (ICN), internet, telecourse, CD ROM, DVD, or videotape.
You may hear people say that distance learning courses are easier than traditional on-campus courses. At Central Wyoming College, we strive to ensure that our distance learning classes provide you the same quality and benefits as our on-campus classes. At the same time, we endeavor to make the distance learning experience flexible and simple.
Like a traditional class, distance learning courses require the same dedication and self-discipline to succeed. You still have to follow a syllabus, read the textbook and other class reading materials, hand in your writing and research assignments on time, and do well on any quizzes and exams required for course completion.
Instructors and students communicate through interactive systems, telephone, e-mail, fax, or mail. All CWC students are issued an email address and are encouraged to use it. Distance education credit courses may be applied toward a degree at Central Wyoming College.
A variety of distance education credit courses is offered every semester and they vary in length. Is online/DL for you?
