Through a coordinated effort, the CWC Customized Training Department and the Commerce, Allied Health and Technology Division is offering a Rail Car Repair Credential. This credential is offered to students with minimum welding experience who are interested in the rail car repair industry. Because of specialized technical instruction required for this credential, this program is offered upon industry demand and/or sufficient student demand.

This program is designed to be delivered through an eight week block format in which students are required to attend class a minimum of seven hours per day.

A student enrolling in this program must possess the ability to lift and handle up to 75 pounds of weight without assistance, pass drug-screening tests, possess the ability to work in a confined space (not claustrophobic), exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills, and follow written and verbal procedures.

Students who are interested in this program may contact the CWC Customized Training Department for further information.
