The program is approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing (1810 Pioneer Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001, 307-777-7601) and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10006, 212-363-5555). Application to the nursing program is a separate objective process. Students are admitted to the program in the fall semester of each year and the application deadline is March 1. Students who are admitted must have active certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Wyoming.

Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) may be considered for advanced placement in the program dependent upon qualifications and space availability. Interested individuals should contact the nursing office for more information. Students desiring to transfer from another nursing program must be approved by the Nursing Admission Committee and will be required to submit syllabi for any nursing courses considered. Students wishing an evaluation of collegiate work for transfer of credit should request official transcripts from institutions previously attended to be sent directly to the Records Office at CWC. Transfer students are also required to complete a Request for Degree Transcript Evaluation form and submit it to the Records Office at CWC. Students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution for a bachelor of science degree in nursing are advised to contact the CWC nursing director for course selection.
