The Central Wyoming College Radio/TV Broadcasting program is the only one of its kind in Wyoming and the television emphasis is the only such program in the state.

Students have unprecedented access to learn on equipment
Students in the program have the opportunity to experience hands-on operations of a radio and television station through KCWC-TV, Wyoming’s only public television station, Rustler TV, noncommercial KCWC-FM, and CWC’s Interactive Classroom Network.
We promise that you will have unprecedented access to learn on state-of-the-art equipment and graduate with a marketable resume tape.
Skills Potential
In the first year of the program all students are introduced to the digital audio and video editing, video switchers, working with radio automation, assisting with the delivery of educational programming, audio and video performance/speech, audio and video planning and scripting, basic writing for various audio and video purposes, planning and producing a live or recorded radio program, microphone selection and techniques and camera techniques.
In the second year of the program, students are given a choice of projects that enhances the skills acquired in the first year, such as creating long and short-form documentaries.
Some of the skills which work toward the program are: web design, instructional design and instructional technology. The computer has found its way into almost every aspect of life. The broadcasting and instructional media areas are no exception. Computer literacy is a necessary skill in electronic media today and will be in the future.
Today’s electronic media person needs a good background in computer use. The more technically enthused student is the one who will succeed in and benefit from this program.
