CWC's accounting programs have diverse goals: to train students for a job in accounting, to further their careers in their current job, or to prepare for advance studies in accounting. Today's students need more than just basic accounting skills; students need to feel comfortable with rapidly changing technology, understand how to make sound ethical and business decisions, and become successful problem solvers and communicators. CWC's accounting programs are designed to meet these needs.
The Associate of Science in Accounting is designed as the first step in preparing the student for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting. The accounting profession covers a fairly broad range of jobs. The accountant may design and manage the entire accounting system for an organization. The accountant may also prepare financial statements, tax returns, or perform audits. These jobs can be found in both the private, public and governmental not-for-profit sectors.
