Master Chef Oscar has won first and second gold medals in several international competitions held in Paris in the last three years. He began his career as a student at the famous LeNotre Pastry and Chocolate School in Paris.
Students enrolled in Central Wyoming College's Culinary Arts program in Jackson had an opportunity to meet with chefs from some of the finest restaurants in the region.
"They discussed and exchanged ideas about today's trends in culinary arts education and the hospitality industry," said Program Director Henry Cittone. "The students were able to hear from the professionals of the importance of the culinary arts in today's hotel and restaurant industry."
Central Wyoming College has 309 students receiving 350 degrees, certificates and credentials during the 38th annual Commencement Friday, May 9 in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center.
Travel back in time and learn to prepare meals the old-fashioned way as Central Wyoming College offers a course where students travel in horse-drawn covered wagons and cook in Dutch ovens over open fires June 9-10.

The CWC Culinary Arts program at the Jackson Campus is offering a
three-credit fish and shellfish preparation and cooking course this summer.

CWC gym open 7-9 p.m. Friday through Sunday for volleyball, basketball and climbing wall.
Stop in the CWC Library to stock up for your summer reading. The library has a selection of travel books and a selection of books by Nobel prize-winning authors on display through the month of May.
Graduates may pick up their gowns beginning Monday, May 5 through Thursday, May 9 in the Registration and Records Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The office is closed at noon Friday to prepare for commencement.
Graduation practice for graduates is at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9 at the Arts Center Also make note that
CWC alumnus and former Student Senate President John Kindle was
named the University of Wyoming's "Outstanding Graduating Man."
The son of Joel and Nancy Kindle of Riverton received the award Friday based on his academic excellence and achievement, service to the university, participation and leadership in community and campus activities and citizenship qualities.
Kindle, who graduates May 15 with a degree in kinesiology and health promotion, has maintained a high grade-point average while working as a leader on various student and community organizations, serving a tour guide for UW's Admissions Office and volunteering his time to several organizations including Wyoming Special Olympics.
Kindle was instrumental in encouraging the CWC Board and administration to re-start intercollegiate athletics, and the fall after his CWC commencement, volleyball was re-instated at the college. This fall, both men's and women's basketball returns. John does qualify for his third associate's degree from CWC this May, too.
John has been accepted to two physical therapy graduate schools and, at this time, is still undecided about in which to enroll.

During the presentation, CWC students received sound information about the chocolate chemistry, various types of chocolate composition as well as how to prepare them with different techniques, said program director Henry Cittone.
